Dimitri Fatouros

Born in 1965, he is from the island of Lefkada and grew up in the city of Ioannina, Greece.
He studied Political Science and International Relations at the University of Athens. After completing his military service, he worked in the private sector in Athens. In 1992, he moved to Brussels, where he did a six-month internship at the European Commission. In the Belgian capital, he worked in the private sector, in the field of civil society, and from 1994 to 2004 at the European Parliament.
Since July 2004, he has been serving the United Nations as Communications Officer for Greece and Cyprus at the UN Regional Information Center in Brussels. He is married and has two children. He speaks Greek, English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
