George Megas

George Megas is the Head ofthe Innovation & Networking Unit at the I-SENSE Group of ICCS/NTUA, supporting all 10 research divisions in funding acquisition, exploitation of research results, and stakeholder engagement. He has over 15 years of experience in EU research and innovation policy, serving as Greece’s National Contact Point for Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe (ICT, FET, EIC pilot, Cluster 4) from 2016 to 2024. He coordinated the Greek EIT Health Hub and supported more than 50 start-ups and spinoffs in digital health and emerging technologies. George has led or contributed to numerous EU R&I and CSA projects (Idealist, Startup3, NCP4Industry, etc.) and is deeply involved in European networks such as EEN and EDIHs. He holds a BSc in Agricultural Engineering (AUA) and an MSc in Organisation and Management of Industrial Systems (UNIPI & NTUA).
